EL OINON RIZES

The project EL-OINON RIZES focuses on strengthening the role of culture and sustainable tourism in economic development through the promotion and utilization of the cultural heritage of olive and vine. The aim is to rebuild a model of sustainable tourism that promotes knowledge of culture, in contrast to the heavily advertised “sun and sea” model. The project partners are directly connected to olive and vine cultivation either scientifically, entrepreneurially, or as representatives of regions where these crops are symbols of cultural wealth.

Specific Objectives:

• Collection of historical and cultural knowledge and points of interest (Activity 3)
• Generation of knowledge for forming strategic approaches to promote and attract visitors, centered on olives and vines (Activity 3)
• Creation of tools to disseminate knowledge and experience related to olive and vine culture (Activity 4)
• Pilot actions to promote tourism potential.
